PADI Scuba Diver

  • Discover Scuba Diving is a half day introduction program that is about fun and introducing you to the basics of a scuba dive
  • Open Water Diver is the worlds most popular scuba diving course and is the full program to get certified and be able to dive over the whole world
  • Scuba Diver is a program that sits in the middle of the other two, basicaly a short version of the Open Water

You can choose to do it step by step, starting with a Discover Scuba Diving adventure, continuing into Scuba Diver and eventualy complete the whole Open Water Course.

For most courses you have the option to start at home on your pc or tablet with eLearning.

For anyone who wants to experience the underwater world we offer the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. In half a day we will show you the basic skills, practise in our pool and take you for a real, safe and fun dive on the reefs of Boracay!

No previous experience needed!

The Discover Scuba diving program is perfect for if you just want to just dive as a one time experience, or as a preparation to get your full Open Water license.

Designed by PADI to be a fun introduction into scuba diving, the Discover Scuba Diving does not give you a license. However if you enjoyed your experience, and we are sure you will, the lessons can count towards your Open Water course and count as a credit.

Open Water

This course is an exciting and rewarding experience where you learn to use scuba equipment, plan dives, then get wet and enjoy the wonderful reefs and fish life! If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. 

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI ® Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course

The card is recognized around the world and is valid for life!

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

What will you learn?

To explain a bit more; the PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development | Confined Water Dives | Open Water Dives

  • The Knowledge Development part teaches you the basic principles and rules of scuba diving.
  • During the Confined Water Dives you will learn & practise the basic scuba skills.
  • Open Water Dives give you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and explore the underwater world!

The whole course would take you around 3 to 4 days from start to finish. That includes all the Knowledge Development, 5 Confined Water dives & 4 Open Water Dives. e-Learning would save you around 10 hours of time to spend on the beach!

The course includes 5 knowledge sections, 5 pool sessions to practice diving skills, and 4 dives in the sea with your instructor to hone skills and have fun. Upon completion you earn your PADI card, allowing you to dive to 18m with a qualified buddy (12m with a parent, guardian or PADI professional for 10- and 11-year-old Junior Open Water Divers).

What scuba gear will you use?
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.
Check with your local dive center about the gear you’ll use during this course and get advice about everything you need from your PADI Instructor.

PADI SCUBA DIVER

PADI Scuba Diver

If you don’t have quite enough time to complete the Open Water course, then you can begin your training and earn the PADI Scuba Diver licence. This includes the first 3 knowledge sections, first 3 pool sessions and first 2 dives in the sea. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.

After successful completion you earn your PADI card allowing you to dive to 12m under the supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Instructor. Again, the card is recognized world-wide and is valid for life, and you can continue your education with the remaining knowledge, pool sessions and dives to upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver at any time.

No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through the Discover Scuba Diving program.

What will you learn?

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving – just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – just the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.

To sum it up

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Pre-requisites: Be able to stay afloat for 10 minutes
  • Inclusions: Learning materials, dive equipment rental, training sessions, 3 pool dives, 2 ocean dive, PADI certification
  • Approximate Time: 2 days
  • Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
  • Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.
